Amigos' NBA Previews: Houston Rockets

Recent Past They got McGrady, they made it to the playoffs a lot, they didn't win in the playoffs a lot, McGrady got hurt, and they beat the Blazers in the first round. So, yea. They've been decent enough for a while now, building a very strong defensive team, but they've not gotten a ton out of it.

Offseason Artest for Ariza. Stuff.

Probable Lineup Well, when healthy: Aaron Brooks, Tracy McGrady, Trevor Ariza, Luis Scola, Yao Ming. Kyle Lowry, Brent Barry, Shane Battier, Carl Landry, Chase Buddinger, and Pops MENSAH-BONSU as key subs. Who knows if that will ever actually happen.

General Outlook Look. I have no idea what's going to happen. It all depends on how long these guys are actually injured. This is sort of a throw away year for Houston, but they have some nice young players in the squad, and they'll look to get them acclimated. I don't expect them to be real awful, even with Yao and McGrady out, just because Houston tends to pull out some weird shit. What I'd be surprised if they do much. And that's about it.

If they were a hip hop act Geto Boys. Because that cover just about sums up where they're at right now.

Guessing how they'll do I don't think they'll make the playoffs, but like I said, I don't think they'll be too awful. Beyond that? No clue.
