I'ma go with quick, abbreviated preview here, because basically nothing's changed.
They're still more or less the same team, just a year older. And so expect more or less the same thing as last season. They ought to be decent enough, as they still do have Dwyane fucking Wade. But, really, they aren't all that good, and though the pieces aren't really bad, you do get the sense that they're sort of wasting Wade's talent right now. He'll probably stick around, because Miami's going to be able to give him the best offer, but at some point soon they'll have to get him a legitimate second option.
In the meantime, I'd imagine they'll finish around fifth or sixth, with little deviation. Wade makes them a dangerous team in the playoffs, but I'd be sort of surprised if they got past the first round. As far as "if they were a hip hop act", I'd have to go with 3rd Bass. Because it's really just sort of about Wade/Paul, and everyone will have sort of forgotten about this team in a couple years. Unless they're still in the same situation. But, you know, they shouldn't be.
